I see a Frenchy

We get 2 types of partridge in the UK, we now have both.

Over the past few years we have worked hard to provide habitats for the endangered grey partridge, I am pleased to say we now have 3x more grey partridge than we had when we came to the farm in 1997.
French or red leg partridge have established themselves and have a reputation for being very teretorial and chasing the grey partridge away. Today I saw the first French Partridge on North Bellshill, there was 3 of them and they looked quite fat.
I just hope they don''t scare our grey friends away.
