Scanning Time
One of my favourite times of the year. The anticipation of scanning the ewes is tremendous, will it turn out better or worse than last year and are the childrens pet lambs pregnant.

Fraser Burn came and scanned all our ewes, he uses a mobile machine that is not unlike the machine midwives use. Each ewe walks into a crate and Fraser runs the scanner on her tummy, and then he marks the ewes red for single, nothing for twins, blue for triplets and a green mark for the ewes who are not pregnant. This year we 36 singles, 34 triplets, 15 barren and the rest are twins so this is the first year we have had 200% at scanning.
I think we will be very busy at lambing time.
